It is also the most London facing part of the county. Thirty minutes to London Bridge, an unusually high concentration of company directors and senior professionals living locally, and a client base that spends its working week looking at well built websites. That sets the bar, and the bar is set by London rather than by anywhere in Kent.
Which means your real competition is often not the agency down the road. It is the London firm quoting three times the price, and the perfectly reasonable option of doing nothing because the current site is fine. Winning here is less about being cheapest and much more about being obviously competent and easy to actually deal with.
