The client

Who Source Office Supplies are

Source Office Supplies is a B Corp certified supplier of washroom, cleaning and office products, based in Camberley, Surrey. It reaches new customers with printed flyers, and needed somewhere for each flyer to send people that turns a scan into a conversation.

The brief

Turn a scanned flyer into a call back.

Source supplies washroom, cleaning and office products to businesses from Camberley in Surrey, and finds new customers with printed flyers. Each flyer carries a QR code to a landing page of its own, so far for golf clubs, WMAT's schools and student accommodation. The visitor answers a few questions on their phone and leaves their details, and Source calls them back already knowing what matters to them.

The build

What I built

  1. A page for every flyer

Each campaign gets its own random address for its QR code, written once and stored, so a printed code never breaks. A new page is one command and a push.

  2. Questions before the form

The visitor answers a short survey one question at a time before leaving their details, so the sales team calls knowing what the club or school wants.

  3. Schools

A nine-question washroom survey for WMAT's schools, with the brief on the page word for word and its free stock offer at the top, in the middle and at the end.

  4. Student accommodation

A page on black mould for accommodation teams, with a free starter kit offer and a delivery address on the form so the kit can be posted.

  5. Every enquiry labelled

The server decides which campaign an enquiry belongs to, never the browser, and every alert opens with the campaign's name in a solid block. The build refuses to go live if any page, form or email carries another campaign's words.

  6. Emails that arrive

Each enquirer gets a confirmation from a named person at Source, sent through Source's own mail account so it passes the domain's strict email checks. An address whose domain cannot take mail is caught on the form, before the lead is lost.

Nearly every visitor arrives by scanning a flyer, so each page is designed at iPhone SE size first and must pass two tests before it goes live: the headline, offer and button on the first screen, and the whole first question in view after one tap.
