The client
Who Dubarry Events are
Dubarry Events is a UK event, exhibition and creative production company. Its office, production workshop and equipment warehouse are in Egham, near London Heathrow, and it runs planning, design, build and on-site delivery as one job, for corporate brands, business delegations, and the agencies and venues that bring it in as a specialist.
The brief
Win event, exhibition and AV work in two languages.
Dubarry Events plans, designs, builds and runs events, exhibitions and conferences from its own workshop and equipment warehouse in Egham, near Heathrow. The new site sets out its seven services, walks through eight real projects as full case studies, from the Chinese Embassy's National Day reception to the One Thames City topping out ceremony, and carries every page in Simplified Chinese as well as English, each language on pages of its own.

What I built
Seven services, one team
The Services page gives each of the seven services its own section, from event production and conferences to exhibition design and build, AV and lighting, and business visits, with what each one covers.

Our Work lists eight real projects, among them the Chinese Embassy's 77th National Day reception, MetLife's recognition party and LIBY's London launch, each with its own page.

Each case study sets out the location, the event, the format and the story, with the client's own photographs. They are written once as data in both languages, so adding the next project is one entry rather than a new page.

The Contact page carries the enquiry form beside the office address, phone numbers and email, for event, exhibition and business visit enquiries.

Part of Dubarry's audience is Chinese-speaking, so every page, case studies included, has a Simplified Chinese version at an address of its own, with a switch between the two languages on every page.

Built in code so both languages are first-class sites in their own right, each with its own addresses and search details, rather than a translation layer over one.
